What Makes A Competitive Teacher At Present?

Most people have a deep-rooted stereotype of a teacher - a person whose interests and speciality are narrow, views numbed and (s)he can't make a step aside from the school plan. But a few know what a multifaceted profession is teacher, because the main demand of our profession is competitivness.
The first point in the list of the competitive teacher is good knowledge of his/her speciality. Sorry, but you can't go further without some level of elementary (I'm not even talking about sophisticated things) professional skills . All your pluses would be subverted by your ignorance. I bet you have no desire to give your child  in hands of amatuer mathematician, physicist or historian. So why should we give easy time to ourselves?
Secondly, teacher should be a good phycologist and have possibility to get along with every student (s)he has got. And if you have a problem with a student you should solve it  while the kernel hasn't become a tree with poisoned fruits. You should be compassionate and understanding, but not feeble and please: no blue-eyed boys!
The third point is discipline. Yes, discipline was invented not only for students, but first of all for teachers. And I mean not only a timetable (but I should admit that it's rather useful). I mean plans for every lesson. Every minute, even a second of lesson should be well organized and the 'fruits' of your lessons would be striking. There should be no pauses and hitches. Children's attention or failure and no matter how deep is your knowledge. Try to arouse their interest before they would organise a riot.
The fourth point is self-perfection and self-education everyday. Don't be afraid to admit that you have gaps in education, but don't loose your dignity. And sometimes it's better to overcome your arrogance and ask one time than stay unaware for a long time. Try something new every lesson! Use new techniques , technologies and find your own way. Also your interests should be broad. Teacher should be a versatile person.
And the last point, but nevertheless important, is desire to become better and the spirit of healthy rivalry.
Becoming a competitive teacher is a hard way. It includes much more than I have mentioned, because teacher is not a profession. It is a lifestile. We always should remember that our main purpose is to be competitive. But not for the sake of our bank accounts or prestige. We should be competitve for the sake of our students and ourselves. And all material would come after that. And please, don't forget that "the hardest way is the right one".

My school practice

This year I was given a new group,  nine-form students. These students were a "Terra Incognita" for me. And I had to face a BIG problem: 90% of the group were kinesthetics and I'm not the patient one. They could not absorb any new information from listening, audio or writing. May be visual aspect (reading texts, the visual support - photos and pictures-, spidermaps) was half effective. So they could remember some information only in the form of the plays, dialogues and games. And we, my partner Julia Imamova, decided to read a new text and after it to play the game. It could be 'Crocodile', 'Napoleon', 'the Fortune-teller' - whatever. But there was one rule: STUDENTS HAD TO USE THE WORDS FROM THE THEME OF THE LESSON. And student started to absorb the new word easier.
I must say that our children were really artistic gifted and every dialogue became a real theatrical performance. When we had the theme 'Nature's Fury' one boy tried to play a hurricane!
I tried to bring the new material to them carefully. The main 'muse' in this case became spidermap and small talk about their own experience, or their favourite kind of music. The spidermap helped them to feel themselves 'in the subject' and refresh the old words. F.ex.: before we started to read the text 'The Viking' I brought some visual support about Vikings (photos & pictures) and we tried to compose a spidermap, but they had to use their background knowledge. And when we started it was so much easier for them to absorb the new information & they felt themselves much more comfortable.
And songs! They enjoyed the song  "We Are The Champions" by Queen. Plus we found out some new words. From my own experience I know that it's much more easier to remember words from a song than from a text.

Is marriage a lifelong burden or endless happiness?

Marriage for centuries has been the keystone of numerous philosophical debates.
So, what is marriage?
There can be two different points of view: scientific and human.

Scientific.
"Marriage is a social union or legal contract between people that creates kinship. It's an institution in which interpersonal relationships, usually intimate and sexual, are acknowledged in a variety of ways, deneding on culture or subculture in which it is found. Such a union, often formalized via a wedding ceremony, may also be called matrimony"
-en.wikipedia org.

And what about human point of view?
You won't find one and the same definition between ordinary people. For every exact person word "mariage" has different meaning. So I will stick to mine point of view.
As for me, marriage is a lifelong burden. It's myphological creature Maybe in the beggining of the existance it wasa real thing, but now it has no value. I mean spiritual value. Nowadays marriage is a cocktail. Please, remember the recipe: 1/2 of economical relationships, 1/2 of the social status and opportunity to boast around. Oh, and do not forget a pinch of juridicial duties.

So, I think that marriage nowadays is a burden. I don't think that in the beggining the idea was SO awful, but through the centuries marriage has devalued. Due to the people of course and their behavior.
As to my mind woman and man can love each other, cary about each other, have children and just be happy without this stupid stamp. Inside they are already married.
They are devoted to each other and these two do not need material confirmation of this fact. And even more: they don't care what other people would say.
And that is great. That is the REAL thing.
